July 22 -
brings Christmas and the jolly old elf back to Little Mexico. Make sure
to get your gifts wrapped and labeled with the child’s name to the store before
3 p.m. Santa will arrive on the fire truck and after our party, there will be
rides for all.
 July 29 - Pirates
will abound. The kids will make hats and other crafts in preparation for the
treasure hunt and hay ride. Be there…AAARG!
Aug 5 -
the Mini-Carnival returns with lots of nickel and dime games such as
ducks in the pond, bean bag toss, pull a lollipop and much more. Any teenagers
who wish to help, please stop in the office and see Tina.

Boppin’ with the Big Guys will DJ the dance

Annual Ice Cream Social. Be Sure to sign up. Pizza and night-time swim
will be your reward.

Aug 26 - Hay
ride and Night time swim The lazy days and hot nights bring afternoon
hayrides and night time swim for all ages. Remember that adult supervision is
required for children under 12.
Sept 9 -
Our Annual 911 Memorial will be held in the main pavilion. The
Leonards are organizing a Bike Rodeo so be sure to have your bike and helmet
ready. Other activities will include emergency preparedness for your pet’s
safety and much more. Anyone with ideas please see Tina. The candlelight
ceremony will follow at 7:30 p.m..
Another reminder that the Haunted House will be run on October 14th
and 22nd
We will be
selling tickets right after Labor Day.

Toilet Paper Roll Raft:
What you need:
popsicle stick, clothes pins, paint brush, glue gun, ruler, scissors, 4 toilet
paper rolls, dark brown acrylic paint, 1 piece of yellow sparkle felt 5x3 ¼”, 2
pieces of white cord 18” long, wood skewer and white craft clue.
How to make it:
Squeeze the hot glue on one side of each of the toilet paper rolls. Press a
second toilet paper roll to the first and hold it in place briefly.
Put hot glue on the second toilet paper roll and place the third toilet paper
roll beside it with a clothes pin standing up between the two rolls. Hot glue
the last toilet paper roll and make sure they are even. Let dry and paint with
dark brown acrylic paint.
Cut 2 pieces of white cords 18” long and the cords 1” the ends pf the raft and
hot Glue the knot to the raft underneath. Cut a triangle from the piece of
yellow sparkle felt for said with a bas of 5” by 3 ¼” thigh. Cut slits into the
felt about 1” from the top and bottom. Lastly, place the 7 ½” skewer in the
slits.
