HALLOWEEN INFORMATION
After several years
of searching for a title for our haunt, Earl Malick finally came
through. Little Mexico Campground would like to officially announce the
opening of "Terror on Penn's Creek" on October 11, 2008. We are working
in conjunction with the 18th North Carolina Civil War Group and are
still trying to confirm a second non-profit organization with whom we
will share a portion of the proceeds.
This event is open to the public and will run on Saturday, October 11,
Saturday, October 18, Friday, October 24, and Saturday, October 25
The hours will be announced at a later date. The non-scary hayride will
only be offered on October 11. The cost for all other hayrides will be
$7/person. Tickets purchased in advance will be $5/person.
The non-profit organizations we are working with will help provide the
added support we are going to need, but we will still need the
volunteers that have helped make our previous haunts successful. With
your May electric bill and/or newsletter you will receive a notice for
our first meeting. This meeting will be mandatory for all volunteers so
that I can see who we have and begin to figure out who will work best in
which roles, describe to you some of the changes, etc.
For those who usually volunteer, in early May, if you could please let
me know which weekends in June will work best for you, that would be
helpful. You do not need to be a seasonal guest to volunteer so if you
are interested, please email or give Tina a call in early May to find
out details about the first meeting. This information will also be
posted here and in the first newsletter.
If anyone has building and/or mechanical skills and would like to help
build the haunt and props, please email Tina or leave a message at the
office (570)374-9742.
Please keep checking this page for additional details and updates.
